I'm stuck at work again - bored and wishing I was working on my car.  I had a look at the GCG webpage and got to dreaming of a turbo upgrade for my 1JZ (which isn't even running yet  )
The car is a daily driver. I'm more interested in a good 0-100kmh time rather than a dyno warrior.
GCG sell a standard bearing T04R, cast manifold and Tial wastegate for a whopping $5,500. I'm guesing that would be good for around 350rwkw and I would just have to add a piggyback (not an interceptor) ecu and bigger injectors.

They have a ct12 replacement based on BB GT turbos with steel wheels, which would let me keep the standard manifold and use the custon 'y' dump pipes I'm getting made. Cost is also a whopping $5,500!
I definitely DON'T want a monster T78 - even though Advan are selling them cheap atm.
How soon would these two spool up onto boost, how much boost could they hold and what would their low to mid range torque be like? What do y'all reckon would be the better option for me?
As I said, this is all daydram stuff at the moment. Onec the conversion is done, my next priority will be building up the A240E tranny for faster launches, shifts and durability. Still, I'd be interested to hear what others think.

Justin, RPM Performance down here in Adelaide have(or maybe had) a 1jz that they pulled out of a mk3 that has a twin kkk turbo setup on it. Last time I was there the engine was sitting on the ground gathering dust with the turbos and everything still attached. Might be worth giving them a call and seeing if they want to sell the turbos/manifolds etc separate from the engine. Not sure of the number but the website is here:
