I had a hard time with the exhaust.
Mine came with standard manifold but the joining plate is around the wrong way to the standard and the pipes are wider. This means you can either get new pipes and adapter plate fabricated or you can buy some extractors and it takes half the time and costs $100 more.

Fours N more can get pretty good deals on extractors for you, and streamline exhaust in paradise.

The RA40 stuff won't be a problem as the engine bays are pretty much identical to the RA28.

Depending on how many linkages you have that come with the carbies depends on how much you need to fiddle. I used most of the original setup, just translated it across to the driver side and got some threaded rod to put the ball clip things on the end of. I can get photo's if you want.

Ultra Tune on main north rd (242?) dyno at $68 an hour and the guy who runs it had a 18RG that he was planning to put into a mini at one stage and his son has an AE8? that he is putting a 4AGE in and trueno LSD. He knows his way around toyota twin cams, and he did a good job of balancing my carbies (for the two weeks I had them on before I went EFI).
