I'm sure that you will do a professional job, it's just that places of business have worker's comp, does toymods? Cos I'm pretty sure even unpaid workers, e.g. volunteers, need to be covered somehow. Sure you might say "nah we won't sue" but if someone loses a thumb and can't do their 9-5 job anymore, then I'm sure that the injured person may not be so "nice" about it. If you go for the entrusted person thing, and the car is worth a significant amount of $, what's to stop them running off with it? I know, I know, I need to learn to trust ppl. And whilst I am in my post-maccas rambling state: I think that this charity car thing would be a really good learning opportunity too for those of us that barely know what a timing chain is or how to bog up dents. I, for one, would really like to stop looking like a stunned mullet when it comes to cars, and so I stop getting that "tsk, typical female" look off more knowledgable ppl. Plus, if I am capable to do something myself with my Camry (other than burn it) then all the better, I might feel like a real "modified toyota" member then.
