hi everyone ,
i was just wondering if anyone would be able to give me some advice on an idea that i have..seeing as you guys know anything and everything about the 4ag.
i'm a bit strapped for cash at the mo (being a uni student and all) but i had an idea for my 4ag, and i was just wondering if you think this would work?
i have a bigport tvis 4ag (in excellent nick) with a map sensor, and i was hoping to buy a supercharger off the 4agze and somehow bolt it in. i wouldnt run any more than 6 pound and ive been told that the standard internals could cope with this. i cant afford an EMS, so i thought of pulling a dodgy and running a pressure switch off the manifold/plenum, (because the standard ecu wouldnt be mapped for boost) so that when this switch reads positive boost it sends a signal through a relay to my 5'th (standard cold start) injector.
and hopefully this will feed it enough fuel not to run too lean? i dont care if it runs richer than it should, as this would safeguard it againts detonation anyway, as long as it doesnt run too lean?
the plan was to dyno it (i have a mate at tafe wh ocan get me access to a dyno for a slab of beer, hehe) before the supercharger goes in, and then to wire up the 5-th injector and dyno it with the supercharger and see what the difference in the air/fuel mixtures is..
i really think that this could work, and i was just wondering whether you guys think this would work? is there any aspects that i've overlooked? any advice would be really really welcome, as well as any alternative (mega cheep) ideas?
----thanks HEAPS, -cheers roman---------------
