We didn't replace the timing belt but should have. It is now almost impossible to do when fitted in the car. As the 2JZ is almost 30mm taller I assume that the timing belts are different. I had the sump off as I had to make a complete new unit. I used silicone type sealant instead of a gasket. It hasn't leaked so far in 6 months. I guess we were lucky - our engine has been fine.
