theres an old trick a lot of people have done in the OCC list and that is use the 22re block but with a 20r head the idea of this is obviously keeping the 2.4 litre capacity (as they say cubs are power) but using the 20r less restrictive head
also as a point of interest a majorly ported 22re head flows a lot better than a majorly ported 20r head...and the 22re uses fuel injection
i say swap the cam in favour of something bigger say 274/274 (11.04 lift) port the head, bigger injectors and use the supra 5mge air flow meter, swap computers and you have already doubled the stock horsepower (200+) all depends on the cam of course
im just waiting for mine to arrive then its off for a dyno run and a quick fly down the quarter mile, to see how we go
