Mon, 03 November 2003 22:00 Hi, Going to look at a supra today and it seems to have me stumped as I can't work out which generation it is (no photos to help me tell the obvious)... As I understand, the mkII supra was built til 1986, and the mkIII being introduced in late 1986 and onwards... What has got me confused is that the car supposedly has a 3.0L engine...now, I understood the mkII supras were powered by 5M's which is a 2.8...and the mkIII is powered by the 7M, which is the 3.0L... The car is a 2nd month 86...which seems to be to early to be a mkIII but I wasn't aware of any mkII's that came as 3.0L, unless, it has a 6MG in it, but I didn't think that Australia got any of those locally delivered...unless it's an import...I'm not sure that Oz got 7M mkII supras either... Either way, hopefully someone can help me, so I can decide whether or not to look at it as I have to travel a bit... Cheers, Ben [Report message to a moderator]
