Some of the old toyota fans down here tell stories of racing against commodores up the mountain in brand new mx73s. They had to get out and wait for the dunnydores to catch up, to keep the competition alive!

As soon as I saw this title I thought I HAVE to post something up about the time I raced a brand new Commodore up a mountain one day....and I read your quote Mr Smart and had a great 
I rememebr racing a new Commodore VS at the the time up the Burring Bar mountain and back down again (prior to the speed cameras) in a MX73 and it was like a Sunday drive. The car had 168,000k's on it and all the driving was on poor roads and the shocks were SHAGGED and had old tyres on but still went around the corners perfectly! The poor Commodore was at one stage in the lane next to me with smoke POORING of the tyres and he was really fighting the wheel and i probably could have gone faster but wasn't the most confident driver.
They go great for such a luxury car with heaps of weight.
Oh and SIMDOG....is it possible to make steering heavy like the Cressida? I thought the steering was great in it...unlike the Soarer that is far too light and responsive..........it's hard to keep in a straight line!
