Having put a 1GGTE into an ST141, I can say with some certainty that a 7MGTE would be no problems. Ideally you'd run a W58 5-speed, that way you can run a tailshaft off an RT142 and the box will bolt to the floor and the shifter will line up perfectly. You also end up with the engine in basically the ideal spot - may be a little massaging due as the 7M has a coolant hose coming out of the back of the cylinder head on a ~60 degree angle. Aside from that and the radiator relocation I see very few issues apart from legal ones. To my knowledge there is no state in Australia which would allow you to register such a machine. A 13BT, SR20DET, 1UZFE or 1JZGTE might be a better option - although on the 1JZ and 1UZ you are likely to need expensive custom manifolds made up. [Report message to a moderator]
