There is a guy who frequents the SA forum who has done the SC14 on an 18RG thing in his RA40.

Pressure testing is always a good idea, it cost us about $20 and was a good investment.

One alternative to waiting for a $60 toyota head gasket is waiting half a week for a Durapro $68 one.

Durapro p/n for 18rgeu head gasket: GS-BK690*D

Do not use an ezyfit gasket, they are POS!

We haven't had any trouble with this, it has a metal core and graphite outer.

There is no difference between 18rgu and 18rgeu head gaskets, if your block has the rear oil drain hole then you're going to be ok with the above gasket.
