Tim, I had a strange revving problem like that too. when idling, mine used to rev up, then straight down and continue for as long as it wanted. Sometimes it stopped, sometimes it didnt even do it tho.
My problem was sorted as i found the alternator was stuffed, and therfore only running from a battery, when that battery got low, it seemed to make it switch modes all over the place like that. Now that i have an operational charging system, the problem has sorted itself out.
But another strange issue i had was the coil pack wasn't earthed properly, and this makes it run like a total dog. So maybe check that too!
...just some ideas mate. but easy to check, it could well be faulty sensors.
And yeah how good do they sound! especially with only the small piece of exhaust i have that came with the half cut!
So whats my problem with the tepmerature of the tanks? or is my radiator just damn good and is cool at the bottom! Is it normal for the motor to squirt some in2 the overflow tank after being run?
