You should make sure that there are no intake leaks. then that the correct pressure is available at the carbs. set the idle mixture screws about 1.5 to 2 turns out then ensure they are in synch. You can use a unisyn or other tool or use two vacum gauges. one hooked to each intake between the butterfly and the head. The gauges that are fluid dampened are the best type because they don't bounce so much. Then warm the car up and adjust the idle screws until the gauges read the same. once the carbs are in synch you can adjust the idle speed and then the idle mixture screws. To adjust the mixture turn the screw in until the rpms change then counting the number of turns out until the rpms start to drop off again ( rich ) divide the number of turns by two and turn in the screw that many of turns then go to the next screw. This will set the mixture at idle for the jets you have in the carbs. the jetting for the carbs should be done with other tests. I have a mikuni manual that explains this and I used it for my 2tg when i set it up. I tried to scan it but it took up too much memory.
