Might be a silly question - but do you know why it failed? Remember when fillting a copper gasket you would normally face both the head and the block. This may have something to do with the failure! If so you would get the same problem using another gasket. Also if the gasket was not damaged they can be reused - just need to anneal them.
There seems to have been lots of discussion around copper head gasket here on 7MGTEs - while may practical knowledge with these engines is not high - the discussions seem to suggest that a well torqued OEM gasket with new bolts is the ants pants.
