1. Dunno, but I haven't seen one.
2. All JZ series transmissions are interchangeable, so yes.
3. Ray Hall has put a 2JZ-GTE in an IS200 (some info here). Looks like it was relatively easy to do from a mechanical perspective, but I wouldn't want to be the poor sucker wiring it up!
4. IS300's have a 2JZ-GE from the factory, so the modification/fabrication required is zero!
5. I've been in a couple of IS200's, and they are by no means inspiring in terms of straight-line accleration. They go surprisingly well for what they are, but there's no getting around the fact it's a medium-sized sedan with a small engine.
6. Haven't been in one, but from what I've heard it's a totally different car: adequate power and stacks more torque. Some say the extra weight of the 2JZ ruins the balance of the car, but others say it's not much of a difference and the extra power more than makes up for it. I guess it comes down to the requirements/expectations of the individual in the end.
