OK, there are several possibilities here:
1. you don't know the difference between a V6 and an inline six
2. your brother's car is a VN or later Commodore (which come with V6's), not a VL (which come with Nissan inline 6's)
3. your brother's car has had an engine swap done at some point in its life.

1 and 2 are likely, 3 is quite unlikely!

Note that the Holden engine found in a Corona is based on the Holden 202 inline six, which has no relateionship to the Nissan-based RB30 inline 6 found in the VL Commodore, OR the Buick-based V6 found in the VN and later Commodore. Toyota called this engine the 1X, Holden called it the Starfire, most people call it the Misfire. Smile
