Remember if a fan is just bolted on it will only pull air through that area of the radiator. Also if there is a gap between the radiator and thermo shroud alot of air will go through the gap and hence not get sucked through the radiator core. Air will always try and find the easiest path to move!!!! BTW im talking pulling air from the back, not pushing it from the front. Ideally you should totally shroud the rear of the radiator, like box it all in then put the thermo on the shroud which covers the entire core, therefore pulling air through every section of the radiator. However if this box doesnt stand far enough out, usually 1.5 times the thickness of the core is enough, you will create bad pressure differences or dead spots and it will not work properly. When my setup is finished ill put some piccies up, im looking at aluminium at the moment, but if i get real trick ill make a carbon fibre one. [Report message to a moderator]
