yeah i re did the weber using stuff off this site like it was hard as you have to adjust two screws at the same time but i adjusted them till the engine revs got to the highest point and if i moved them anymore the engine revs would drop so i got it set to where they were at the highest revs then set idle to 900rpm, tried the timing but the timing light i was using couldn't get a good reading (think the light didn't have a quick enough flash) as the mark was always blured, and i need a timing light that has a advance adjustment on it as my engine only has a mark for TDC not for any advanced settings and i can't afford a timing light to expensive. also there is another adjustment on my distributor which isn't in my workshop manual on one side you have the Vacuume thing and on the other theres a knob and depending on which way you adjust it it turns that metal plate which the rubbing block and points are attached to so i don't know what that does, is it just another way to adjust the timing advance or is it to adjust the mechanicle timing advance for when the revs get higher?
