I just bought KYB shocks and Kings springs for my 84 Supra, and they cost $400 and $360 respectively. I expect it would be similar for a Corona.
As for reconditioning the 22R, it will cost way more than it's worth. You're better off sourcing a good secondhand engine if yours is stuffed.
A brake upgrade on the front is piss-easy; the ventilated rotors and larger calipers from an RA60/65 Celica will bolt right on. I doubt there's an easy way to put discs on the back, but it's not worth the bother anyway - just worry about the fronts as they do most of the work.
