i have compared both heads, and they are indeed identical.
Thats right, the 11111-88253 head and 11111-88270 head are identical.....
THERE IS ONE DIFFERENCE THOUGH!!! The 88270 head of course has the factory releifs in the intake ports to accomodate the injectors, which the 88253 doesnt have because it was a carby version.
These heads are much better for NA applications because of the largest valves of all 18R-G's (45/39mm), biggest ports, most meat around ports for MORE porting, larger exhaust studs, double valve springs (see above post re. strength)..... but their drawback is the cams. The 88253 head has the less aggressive cams which are the same cams as the 88250 (18R-GU), and the 88270 has the even less agressive cams.
