a) motul 800 is the motor oil to use and 40:1 is correct aswell.

b) fuel isn't really heaps important and i'm not gonna start an arguement over it... all i will say is don't use optimax.... there's alot of bike shops around who have had problems with it. there's plenty of other fuels around anyway... the premium mobil would be fine (synergy 8000 i think it's called) or caltex (vortex i think it is) but like i say it's not heaps crucial... jus don't buy from a budget petrol station or you'll mixing water with your fuel aswell as that motul 800!

c) depends how much of a tight ass you are! but with a 2001 model bike.... it'd pay to look after it as best as possible... it's hard to say how many hours because everyone rides differently.... so the best way to go about it is just to check it every now and then to make sure..... with a chrome barrel, and at 360 bucks to replate it, you're much better off replacing a set of rings every now and then. check the rings every say 15 hours of use... but better still... be alert when you're riding... you'll here when they're wearing out... it'll sound 'tingy' in the top end.

d) gearbox oil.... the more you change it the better. if you're doing decent sized rides, every 2 rides is good.

oh and don't use castrol tt-s in a decent bike... if it's an old dunger, fine but not in something that's worth alot.... it blocks things up a bit inside.. when i pull off a top end that's been running motul... it's like it's all jus been cleaned... tts.... very dirty
