UPDATE: Try this site for Qld tyre/wheel limitations. It's a very interesting booklet that you can download - wish NSW had one like it. From Page 16 onwards is relevant for this thread. http://www.transport.qld.gov.au/qt/driver.nsf/file s/images/$file/Vehicle-Modifications.pdf Summary: "The rim diameter may be varied from the standard size but the overall diameterof the tyre must not vary by more than +15 or -26mm" so your diameters are OK. "The track of a car ... may be increased by up to 26mm beyond the maximum specified by the vehicle manufacturer for the particular model of the vehicle." "The rims and tyres must not protrude beyond the bodywork of the vehicle, including flares, when viewed from above and when the wheels are facing straight ahead." ... and as an aside - "The fitting of spacers ... is not permitted."
