I had the exact same problem with the adjustable whiteline bar for my RA28.
The non-adjustable type was fine but adjustable rubbed on the wheels in 3/4 or so lock. Which made driving almost impossible.
Anyhow, talked to whiteline and explained the problem. They had to change the design slightly for the bar and sent me another one out at no cost. Hope this helps.
