E30-323ti Regular Registered: June 2002	1JZ TRD thermostat Mon, 01 December 2003 23:05 Just wondering if anyone is running one?? Stock is 82d the TRD one is 72d. Does the engine actually run alot cooler?? I have 2 problems. 1. the thermo fan switch (90-85) turns on but the engine temp doesn't drop below 85 very often and turn the fan off (still to be verified waiting for temp gauge). 2. when I give it a good thrashing (eg over the hills) and come up on some traffic and have to slow down the engine temp rises alot (usually at 1/2 on the stock gauge goes up to 3/4), obviously because of the lack of airflow and the fan not flowing enough. Will a 72d thermostat help this problem by having a lower operating temp to start from?? FYI: it has a custom 520x360 2row(57mm) dimple cored K&J alloy radiator, 13" thermo fan, 1/2 block by the IC (600x250x100). Your thoughts people!?!?! [Report message to a moderator]
