A different switch is the easy solution for the thermo problem.
But if I let the temp get to 95 before it turns on the 13" thermo may not be able to bring the temp down very quickly.

But that doesn't help the issue of it getting hot when you thrash it then have to slow down in traffic.
It would prolly make it worse as it has to get to 95 before the fan comes on.
It is fine cruising or sitting in traffic, you can leave it sitting for 1/2hr and the gauge doesn't move.

So I thought a TRD thermostat & the current thermo switch would be good!?!?! Thoughts??

No room infront for a thermo, the 13" covers the full height of the core as it is. I think it is that mutha of an IC blocking too much air flow when you aren't at speed!!!

FYI it has 82 stamped on the thermostat, confirmed by the pot on the stove.
