yeah if you get one that has a good body then there is no reason that they wont stand up to some drift. The suspension will be no problem. i think that similar or same suspension to sprinter will fit. also need a faster engine like 4age cuz strandard they are slow as anything. i had one for my first car. It still sits in my back yard waiting to be sold but i think it is in too poor condition for what you want.
