A std 6 x 4 is printed at photo lab at 300 dpi. So your if your pic is at 2400 x 1200 (2.88 megpxl) it's a larger than necessary file size and my sisiters biggest complaint at work. When you enlarge however that's when it makes a difference. Try to use tiff's if possible as there is no loss due to compression as there is with jpegs. had to work out the same deal with mine, high quality and super high are the same res but different compression rates. If you want to really large enlargements then you need to save in raws format and fine a lab with reguar fractal software. If you have a few days look it up and read away. Great new stuff but needs big computers and bigger dollars. But will take any raw image and enlarge without loss to extreme sizes.
