Hey man,
i was in the same situation as you about 2 years ago and finally i worked it all out and slowly did the 18RGEU swap and fixed up this and that on the car as well. most of the labour was done by a mate of mine who is a mechanic, he also wired up the engine bay and computer and did the timing, and did a bit of spraying here and there... He is generally knowledgeable of all cars from rotaries to V8s, and he had had no real dramas with the efi swap in my car..
I pretty much worked through everything with him with everything that needed doing and a little more because i came across many small things which needed replacing and a whole lot of little annoyances with the motor, which ended up getting a head recon with new valves etc...
So your car has the 18RG already?? with carbies?? does it have electronic ignition/dizzy??
If you can find all the gear you need for the efi swap it will be easy as, you could probably do it at home in a few hours, maybe a little longer with the wiring if u run into headf*cks..
But if you wanted i could probably pass you on my mates number and he could do the swap for you if you are keen on it getting done by someone who has done it before..
Heres a small list of things you mite need for a start if you car has the 18RG but with carbies:
-18RGEU standard ECU or aftermarket fuel computer of some kind
-18RGEU injectors (or 22RE) and uncut wiring loom (you need the plugs)
-18RGEU inlet manifold/plenum with throttle position sensor
-18RGEU Air flow metre (or 22RE, this is what i am using now)
-18RGEU thermostat housing and temp sensor(could be the same, not sure??)
-EFI high pressure fuel pump
-surge tank + lift pump low-pressure hi-volume
-possibly slightly larger fuel send line
-if you dont have elec. ignition then you'll need to get a dizzy+ignitor+coil from a 18RGEU, 22RE(non-tvis), and it has been said that 2S-E and other oldskool toyota efi motors have similar coil&ignitor packs.. im using coil off a crown in the end with my ignitor and standard elec. dizzy, it works well.. starts every time.
-You may want a larger CCA battery unless it is already fairly high(around 450-480), but this may not be that crucial..
-K&N pod filter or similar to fit to AFM
This is about all i can think of right now off the top of my head, but il try and think of more..
but if you can find all this gear tofether slowly and maybe check up if there is anything else you need or wana do to the car at the same time.... It may seem expensive with all the parts but in the end you may find an EFI head and all efi gear complete as a package and this would be a lot simpler and less running around trying to find bits..
If you have any more questions dont hesitate to ask, and if you ever find a motor/head setup and the other bits give me a PMO and i could have a chat to my mate about doing it, he charges quite good rates for his work...
give me a PM or email fat_tonez01@hotmail.com
