if you're sure IGN timing and fuel is OK, then maybe valve timing is off? tho if that's the case, it would run like shit and not let get hot.
if you've got an old gregories car manual, it should have pictures of variously stuffed plugs in it - match up to the relevant picture.
judging by the description, your:
timing is off
fuel delivery is off (checked for air leaks around manifold?)
wrong plugs
wrong leads
are you getting strong exhaust popping on deccel? a faster than usual take off? if so the nthe timing's out for starters...
