I don't have an 86, or even an A motor yet, but from what I've read and heard of a 4AGE (which I would assume would have about the same exhaust gasses as a 4AC) a 2.5" system would probably be a little big. Most people seem to recommend 2.25" press bent or 2" mandrel, and again a lot of people think the factory headers (for 4AGE) are very good and will be adequate for most applications. However the 4AC headers will be different, no idea how good or bad they are.
