Johnny Before you consider some of the options mentioned here (e.g. KE70/AE71) you should check out the homologation papers (available from CAMS), plus the CAMS modification rules for PRC (Production Rally Cars). You need to avoid going down any blind alleys, where your options for later modifications are severely limited. For example, the combination of manufacturer homologation/PRC rules allow you to fit a 4A-GE to an AE86, or a 2TG (taken out to almost 2 litres, if you like) to a T-18. However, you can't fit similar motors to KE70/AE71 because they weren't homologated by Toyota. It would be a good idea to join a rally club before you start spending any money, just so that you develop some contacts who can advise you what is/is not legitimate within the rallying rules.
