okay.
You don't need ballast resistor if you fit the 2TGEU magnetic setup, which works with an ignitor which should be strapped to your coil. Different ignitors only differ by the dwell as far as I'm aware, so maybe a 4AGE would work if you don't have one.
Anyways. There is a yellow, and a red wire coming from the dizzy on mine (2TGEU), these correspond with the yellow and red wire coming from the ignitor.
Oh, sorry I misread, you're talking about the coil wiring.. well, I took mine apart and redid the wires, they were crappy coroded metal of some sort.... maybe oxidised copper, couldn't solder to it. Only 2 wires to unsolder and resolder, very easy.
Orange with Black stripe is normally a Power colour, and should go to +ve of coil. Other wire (black) should go to negative side.
