MX83 Service problems

Recently I was lucky enough to become the new owner of a 1991 Toyota Cressida Grande with only 173k on the clock. Leather, `Lectrics and LSD...what more could a person want? 
Well I decided to get the car serviced at the nearest Toyota dealer, thinking that they'd be able to do a better job then somewhere like Marlows or whatever.
The day after the service, I discovered the car was leaking oil from the sump plug. yet after 3 days, it was still overfull (they mustn't teach people how to read dipsticks these days). I took it back and they told me it was due to one of 3 spot welds popping inwards, stopping the washer from sealing properly. Has anyone heard of this happening before?
As well as that, now when I go to accelerate (not necessarily putting the boot in every time) the car jerks like the driveline has locked up, sometimes doing it twice, before taking off properly. The other night when it did this, one of the dash lights near the cruise control light flashed on briefly, but not long enough to see which one it was. Does anyone know what might be causing this? It didn't do it before the service, so I'm taking it back in for that in the morning when I finish work so they can hook it up to their computer and see if they can fix it.
Ta for any help. This is the first EFI car I've had, and I thought problems like this would be no more after i retired the datsun.
