Hylomar was first developed by Rolls Royce for use on their jet engines. http://www.valco-cp.com/Hylomar.htm ACL recommends the use of Hylomar on their head gaskets. It can also be used on other gaskets, and is not limited to metal type gaskets. After cooking my 18RG on the freeway (blew a heater hose during peak hour), I figured at bear minimum I would have done the head gasket. 6 months later (after fixing the hose) and all cylinders still have near equal compression. Personally I swear by the stuff, but everyone is obviously free to draw their own opinion of it [Report message to a moderator]
