ditch the stock air-cleaner, get some decent extractors and exhaust (1.75-2"). get a cam (camtech 609 is good for higher revs, but maybe the stage 3 one would be better for a daily thrashbox) then think about head porting (on a 3K head).
THEN start thinking about a bigger carb.
search for TOSCO manual on google. has all the specs for 3K race motors.
