The 6.5" thermos on an ma70 n/a

I've come to notice my new supra n/a only has the two 6.5" fans on the inside of the radiator, and it doesnt have the 10" a/c one on the front like the turbo models...
Can someone tell me if the 6.5" fans on the n/a model come on both with temperature and also a/c switch? I Am thinking of replacing the 6.5s with a 15" one i have lying around thats all, and i just wanna know if it will cut in in traffic, or only will work with a/c on.
