Old school RX7 setup was something I actually looked at, because of the availability of that aftermarket Torsen LSD centre for it. In the end it was just going to be far too damned expensive, so I went with the borg warner 78 instead. Look under 'ae86 front brake upgrades' post for more info. As I remember it cost me about $700 for the diff work including new bearings, shimming up the LSD, new 4.11 gears, shaving a few mm off each side on the housing, and whatever else I got done. R31 skyline complete rear end was $250 (might be able to get one cheaper than that though), and VS clubsport diff (for LSD) was $250. For about $1500 you can get a KAAZ lsd centre for these diffs too, if you'd like something a little more exciting.
