Sure you can stick a drain in the cam cover - but only if the turbo's mounted about a foot above the bonnet
I really would suggest taking off the sump and torching in a fitting, I just used a common plumbing fitting on mine, then some blue ('aeroquip') hose back up to the turbo. Simple, cheap and it works! But taking the sump off REALLY is a good idea if you can manage it, you may not have to take the engine out of the car if you're REALLY crafty/agile
