and don't forget to chock every wheel still on the ground - and do it both sides!
i once had to hold a galant for about 10 minutes (until help walked past) after it started to rock off a jack - i'd forgot to pull on the handbrake... and once the arse is up the air, you really want sizable chocks on the front wheels.
if you're not working on the brakes, wedge your clublock (or similar) between brake pedal and front of driver seat to hold the brakes on hard lock.
