Ill be honest, no point raising the rev limit of the GZE unless you plan to turbo it...the blower makes no usable power after 6K rpm hehe.... the curve just drops off.... INEFFICIENCY is what I think they call it hehehe =]
Actually Giant I thought for a high revving motor you run a shorter rod, and a have a piston with longer flanks so it pulls harder from TDC and to TDC, a long rod dwells at TDC longer then accelerates...but if I am wrong correct me!!! Irregardless Corvid, unless you plan to make 500hp forget RODS.....cost you around $1600 for a set...and for street I would only go forged steel. Maybe a tad lighter than standard but around 50 times stronger.....and steel has a huge fatigue resistance =] Only advantage of alloy is it absorbs massive torsional loads because its softer, taking some load off the crankshaft..but again this will only affect it on the harmonics and high revs =]] Worth getting your whole internals balanced also if your going to pull the motor down =]]]] I bet theyare out of balance by a long way!
