That's a freakin ridiculous price. I bought a W50 for my Celica about a year ago and they were practically giving them away. I think I paid a bit over $100 and there were stacks to choose from. Go find another wrecker!
FWIW I bought a W57 out of an RA60 a couple of weeks ago and paid $175 for it. You could use a W5x box if you got an M bellhousing, but you'll have to modify your tailshaft and probably the gearbox crossmember as well; on the upside they're a much nicer box than the W40/50 and lighter to boot.
