sideshow Forums Junkie Location: sydney Registered: March 2003	Re: lexus v8 Mon, 05 January 2004 10:18 yer lexus is way to go as long as u understand the costs and time involved im hoping to put one in my hilux in afew months what are yr plans are u goin to pay someone to do most of the work are you goin to run an auto or a manual gbox you have to decide these things soon if u go auto from lexus then its easier if u go manual then u need belhousing and u might want to find a lexus v8 not a crown v8 as the lexus v8 with a manual i think is less hassles with the electricals not having an auto gbox if u use the lexus v8 auto then u need special tailshaft as they have big rubber thingy bolted to back of gbox where orig tailshaft goes like a damper if u go crown v8 then u have ti wire the auto ecu up aswell so u need a half cut if u get a crown v8 and go manual then the ecu will prob be in limp mode due to the auto not being there there are afew small issues with these engines most are easily fixable [Report message to a moderator]
