20v exhaust manifold on a 16v? Mon, 05 January 2004 12:43 Go to previous message
ok, heres what (i think) i know. i know you can go the other way (with mofication), i know the ports are the same, and i know there are 2 lugs that are differant. what i am wanting to know is if the flange on the 20v headers can be modified to work with a 16v head. or even possibly, although to my mind this is alot less desireable, modify the 16 head to work with the 20v headers. as far as the runners, i can fairly easily and cheaply modify these, as i have a tig welding friend. cheers for any input.

even if someone has a 16v out of a car in the brisbane area, i might be able to borrow the set from the seller to check.

p.s, these are intended to be fitted to a small port motor, though i am under the impression this doesnt make any differance, as the exhaust ports are the same?
