i think the 4AGE will be about the same price as s/c-ing your 5K - that's if you do the work yourself. can you take the car off the road? if not, i would suggest the 5K route. you can play with the manifolds off and put them back on when you're done and drive it the next day.
it all depends on what you want to tackle yourself. if you don't mind doing an engine conversion and have the space/time to do it then i would go the 4AGE route - simply because if you want to upgrade it to a GZE, GTE or 20V later on, you can. they are also a nicer engine to drive with compared to the 5K. they would prob be the same as far as economy goes, with the s/c on the 5K providing a gob of torque down low which would mean your city driving would be easier.
i would hesitate to supply costs, but i would budget a good 3k to do the s/c swap (that's if nothing needs doing to your engine) and 3k for the 4AGE swap in front cut form.
remember, there a rego costs, maybe eng' costs, exhausts, tailshafts, wiring, gearboxes...
