A tail shaft loop is installed at the front of the shaft, primarily to stop the front of it falling to the ground. If the shaft snaps & drops at the back, it should just slip out the back of the gearbox & drop out from underneath behind the car.
It's only when the front of the shaft falls down that there's a chance it'll flip you ass over.
