ae102_3sgte Occasional Poster Location: Canada Registered: August 2002	Re: 3S-GE qs (again!) Thu, 08 August 2002 11:06 Valve lifter/shim diameter increased on the Gen II 3SGTE. Possibly na too? ( I havent taken the valve cover off of my gen II to check) I have seen 3 different Gen 1 3SGTE that destroyed 1+ valve shims each. The new cams have a larger base circle than the old ones, hopefully solving this problem. Gen I and Gen II 3SGTE have different oil cooler designs. Gen II 3SGE has an oil cooler under the oil filter. Gen I does not. Gen II 3sge could also be referred to as a smallport. 'T-vis' is located 1/2 way up the intake runners. Gen II 3SGTE has a different T-belt tensioner design. ST150: Have you put your 3SGE on a dyno? I am curious how it compares to mine (which has wrong ecu...) [Report message to a moderator]
