the water setup, and the dizzy dramas are the only headaches with fitting a 20v to a sprinter.

the dizzy problem is most easily overcome by using aftermarket management (I'm going for an SMC myself)and converting the dizzy to operate as a crank angle sensor, but this will need to be engineered, and EPA tested to be legal.
the std ecu is great of course, but to use one with the std dizzy in the normal position, means losing your heater core, and bashing a great dent in the firewall.
not running a heater is illegal as well for a road car,so you're kind-of stuffed both ways!
there is a kit to front mount the std dizzy available from japan, but as was said,is pricey-to the tune of three grand!

I've heard rumours that someone in Queensland has made up a module to allow the use of the crank angle sensor dizzy conversion with the std ecu,but have never seen one in the flesh,or been told the name of who's doing it. if someone could work this out,it would make this conversion a hell of a lot easier in the future for others.

the water system is a pain in the butt as well, but not as much as the electronics. you need to run a remote thermostat, and fabricate some piping to run the water from the radiator to the back of the head, where the main inlet is on the 20v. the setup is the complete reverse to the 16v engine.
there are plenty of pics floating around on the web of different ways people have solved this part of the install.

I hope to have my engine in by the end of october. when it's done and running,I'll be happy to post up pics.
