hey glenn,

turns out mt AFR meter was drawing a load and thus making it look like the 02 sensor wasnt working. all fixed now, thanks Smile

as for willwal: youre pretty close to the money with what youve suggested. if a single wire is too far away from the head, it may not get hot enough to operate properly (minimum 550degC)

3 wire is:
+ve heater
-ve heater
signal

4 wire is:
+ve heater
-ve heater
signal
signal ground (rather than just earthing the signal wire through the body of the sensor, it has a dedicated wire to earth back at the ecu)
