Well, I am not aware of the Best performance but I will tell you what I have.

My engine is a stock 2TGEU, with standard computer and 8.5:1 cr.

I started off with a set of GENIE extractors in a 4-1 arrangement. They were second hand brought of a fellow toymods user. I had them installed with a 2.25" system, straight through resonator and single rear muffler, also a 2.5" droop tip for asthetic reasons only.

The car sounded great, a very throaty sound. I had gone from a very stock and insufficient setup that choked the engine. So performance was improved immensly. The power delivery came on in waves a low end wave, then a high end burst. However due to a weak wall on the headers opening I developed a blowout at the head and the gasket was gone around the lower side of cyl 2 exit. The leak was incredibly noisy so I had to have it changed. They pulled the Genie set off to examine them and in their opinion they're rooted.

The options available at present were Pacemaker and possibly something else I can't remember them.
So I have the blue Pacemakers on now and they are fantastic!
Power delivery is smooth right through the lower revs and then explosive around 4000-4500rpm. I belive this has alot to do with the 4-2-1 style and the increased length of the headers. (this coupled with the natural power range of the engine).

The length of the extractors plays a part in the power delivery. The longer the piping the higher rpm the power increase comes on, and the 4-2-1 system I have been told is much better again.

If I was to start again with the exhaust I would go straight to the pacemakers and get a full mandrel bent system, so there is no strangling of the pipes. Also I would be going to a performance exhaust specialist this time ! Someone that will place mats over the body of the car to prevent major scratching whilist installing the headers.
