hi folks,

i was wondering if anyone knows:
-what width do portable plasma cutters remove in a cut
-what i might pay for this (am BNE based)
-any suggestions on categories in the yellowpages?

i'm trying to separate the intake & exhaust parts of the manifold on my turbo 18RC - it's a custom job, 12mm mild steel with lots of stuff welded to it.

current form:

roughly were i want it cut:

i'm hoping that it will make engine assembly slightly easier - plus help with reducing heat from the intake side of things.

i can't get it laser cut as there's no cad drawings for the plate and it's got stuff welded to it anyway so it can't sit flat on a bed without props & clamps.

if you know of someone in the oxley, sumner park, archerfield parts of brisbane who could do this kind of thing i'd love to know. manifold will be out of car for next week.

tia,
charles.
