joel, i have just heard that constant rate springs are better, and i know that hard springs are not good on the street. i don't mind the discomfort of slighly harder springs, as at the moment i only have about 2 inches of suspension travel, so i kinda have progressive springs anyway. Also, i have heard it said that most shocks dont work well with progressive springs, just feel that for me there isnt enough of a downside with constant rate springs to justify progressive rate springs. of course this means that you have to limit shock length, ie you cant use standard length shocks.
